Greeting

From the four corners of the earth we come together;

The corners represent our differences;

The roundness our similarities.

We do not need to look alike; we do not need to think alike;

We have a variety of names for what is sacred.

Yet we all celebrate; we all have ways of singing our joy,

We all have too-intimate knowledge of grief.

Therefore, let us be together for this time,

Coming from the corners of the earth,

Forming a circle, to embrace our common human life.

~~Rev. Libbie Stoddard~~
